Scotland Barr and the Slow Drags are a six-piece Americana band from Portland, OR. The band recorded their new single, "Heart of Rome," for the Magic Closet promo CD (due out in September!). The band's vision for the tune was an epic, Pink-Floyd-meets-The-Band-style ballad. "Heart of Rome" really translated well in the recording, capturing the dynamic nature of the song. The result is a powerful emotionally-driven tune that's sure to gain the band some new fans. The Slow Drags have plans to record their second full length CD at the Magic Closet this summer.
