Track: Feel This One

The Chronicles of reggae/soul/funk group Chronicle are truly unique. The two founding members, Brian and TJ, were playing clubs in Costa Rica without the funds required to record an album. The owner of a club they played in recognized their talent and actually offered to pay for the recording. Following this stroke of good luck, the duo set off to Jamaica to record with some of the best native session players in the country. It seemed like a dream come true - that is, until their money was stolen before the album was mixed. The studio where they recorded held the recordings ransom while waiting for payment. Broke and without a record, they came back to their original hometown of Portland with dreams temporarily shattered. A year later, they had saved the money to have the album finished, but the Jamaican studio did a poor mix job without them there to supervise. They came to the Magic Closet with the raw tracks to finally have the album properly mixed for its delayed but well-deserved release. The song entitled "Feel This One", should live up to it's title and has survived much hardship to make its way to your ears.
